Hello Reader,

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and this year we’re celebrating at my daughter Lexie and her boyfriend Cody’s house. I’ll be bringing all of our family’s tried-and-true dishes — the recipes I’ve made for more than 30 years — and today I’m sharing them with YOU!

If you’re still planning your menu or looking for one or two more special dishes to round out the table, these recipes are truly the best of the best.

Here’s what’s on our Thanksgiving menu this year: 👇

Butternut Squash Soup

A warm, golden bowl of deliciousness as you prep the feast. Slightly sweet, silky, and the perfect cozy starter. This Butternut Squash Soup recipe has natural flavor with warm spices from the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.

Crispy Smoked Spatchcock Chicken

Extra juicy, smoky, and packed with flavor thanks to all the exposed surface area. Trust me… you need this on your menu!

Smoked Turkey

Moist, smoky, and unbelievably flavorful. This is one of my family’s most-requested recipes for any special gathering — not just Thanksgiving!

Mashed Butternut Squash

Rich, creamy, and a must-have side dish. If you love butternut squash, this dressed-up version will steal your heart.

Homemade Mashed Potatoes

Creamy, delicious, and simple — a true comfort side that pairs perfectly with every Thanksgiving main.

Stuffing with Cranberries

This Traditional Stuffing Recipe with Cranberries is a quick and easy side dish to make for your holiday dinners. A fast, easy holiday classic! Soft, savory, and brightened with sweet-tart cranberries.

My Mom's Homemade Dinner Rolls

My mom, Barbara Mackey, was famous for these rolls — they’re the whole reason I started my food blog. Soft, pillowy, and unforgettable.

Red Hot Homemade Applesauce

My Grandma Bahr’s recipe! Made with mixed apples and Red Hots cinnamon candies. Chunky, nostalgic, and always a family favorite.

Whiskey Slush

Whiskey Slush is a refreshing cocktail with several layers of amazing flavor. A little orange juice, lemonade, steeped tea, sugar, whiskey, and vodka are what make up the great flavors of this whiskey slush recipe

Pumpkin Spice Crème Brûlée

A velvety, elegant dessert with a caramelized sugar top that will have you hooked from the first spoonful.

How to Make Homemade Applesauce with Red Hots
Homemade Instant Pot Applesauce with Red Hots will become your new favorite dessert. This easy applesauce recipe is flavored with the spicy cinnamon candy of Red Hots®. My Grandma Bahr taught me this recipe many years ago when I helped her prepare Christmas dinner for our whole family. Her secret was to use a variety of different apples for the best flavor but also to achieve the “chunky” factor for the best applesauce! I am all about the chunks!!

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to your!
